SPRINGFIELD - A central Illinois man who pleaded guilty to bankruptcy fraud has been sentenced to 10 months in prison.

On Thursday, 51-year-old Michael Carr received his sentence and was ordered to pay $7,750.  Carr pleaded guilty to filing a bankruptcy petition that included false statements and concealed property to discharge his debts.

Authorities say Carr admitted to concealing a motorcycle-related insurance claim, as well as ownership of four all-terrain vehicles, a motorcycle, and an SUV.

After his prison sentence is served, Carr will remain on supervised release for three years.
