Midwest Technical Institute offers $1,000 Senior Scholarship Program

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Midwest Technical Institute is proud to announce the 2014-2015 MTI $1,000 Senior Scholarship Program to help graduating high school seniors receive the hands-on, workforce training necessary to succeed in today's job market.

The program guarantees a $1,000 scholarship to graduating high school seniors during the 2014-2015 year in order to off-set tuition fees and other costs associated in pursing one of MTI's comprehensive courses or programs. Funds can be used for supplies or other items students need to complete their training.

Brian Huff, Midwest Technical Institute's Chief Executive Officer, believes the Senior Scholarship Program not only offers students much-needed financial aid assistance, but also works to expose to students a variety of in-demand vocational careers.

“The Senior Scholarship helps maintain our mission of workforce training,” Huff said. “We want to close the widening skills gap, and the Senior Scholarship enables students to access the trades and workforce training MTI provides.”

Eligible students must submit all required application materials no later than July 1, 2015. Students must also begin their coursework no later than Oct. 2, 2015 and those selected as winners of this year's mrWF/MTI Scholarship Program will not be eligible for the Senior Scholarship.

Scholarships are available to those who qualify. For more information about the Senior Scholarship Program, contact an admissions representative at any of MTI's campus locations.
