Urbana man charged with sexual exploitation of a minor

SPRINGFIELD - U.S. Attorney for the Central District of Illinois Jim Lewis has announced that a federal grand jury in Springfield has indicted an Urbana man on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor and possession of child pornography.

Lewis says Talon Wright, 38, was arrested on October 27, and has been charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of possession of child pornography.

According to Lewis, the indictment alleges that Wright took sexually explicit pictures of a minor in 2011 and 2012.  The indictment also alleges that Wright possessed computer devices containing child pornography in August 2014.

If convicted, Wright faces between 15 to 30 years in prison and a fine up to $250,000 for each count of sexual exploitation, and up to 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000 if convicted on the possession of child pornography charge.
