Governor-elect Rauner to meet with every member of General Assembly

CHICAGO - Governor-elect Bruce Rauner has announced that he plans to meet with every member of the Illinois General Assembly.

Following a veterans event in Chicago on Monday, Rauner told reporters that he plans to attend the fall veto session in Springfield next week.  Rauner has asked lawmakers not to decide on major issues until he's sworn into office in January 2015.

Rauner also said he had scheduled meetings with Illinois Senate President John Cullerton and Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan, but did not reveal when those meetings would take place.
