Memorial Health System director named president and CEO of Taylorville Hospital

TAYLORVILLE - Memorial Health System's director of patient safety has been named the new president and CEO of Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

Officials say the Taylorville Memorial Hospital board approved Kimberly Bourne's selection on November 11.  Bourne is expected to begin her new responsibilities on January 1, 2015, following the retirement of current Taylorville Hospital President and CEO Daniel Raab.

Bourne started with Memorial Medical Center in 1989 as associate director of clinical nutrition, and was named senior associate director in 1993.  In 1994, Bourne was chosen as the director of the hospital's food and nutrition services department, and held that position for 19 years prior to becoming director of patient safety.  Bourne is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and received her master of science degree in dietetics from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.
