Decatur Health Coalition to hold "Language of Lungs" community health fair

DECATUR - The Decatur Health Coalition will present its annual "Language of Lungs" community health fair on Wednesday, November 19.

The health fair will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Madden Auditorium in the Decatur Public Library.  William C. Brandes, MD and J. Steven Arnold, MD will be on hand to give presentations on research advances and new therapies to treat COPD.

In addition, participants will be able to receive free blood pressure testing, BMI calculations, cholesterol screenings, lung function testing, oxygen saturation testing, and obstructive sleep apnea screenings.  Assistance to quit smoking, as well as vouchers for early screenings for lung cancer will also be available.
