Champaign police investigating suspicious death

CHAMPAIGN - The Champaign Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in their investigation of a suspicious death of a 27-year-old man.

Champaign police say at about 8:17 a.m. on November 18, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Redbud Drive and Forsythia Drive to check on the welfare of an injured man who was found in a car.  Upon arriving, officers say they found a deceased man in a car who had suffered an obvious injury.

Champaign police say the circumstances surrounding this death are suspicious, and that they are investigating this incident as a homicide.  Authorities say an autopsy is being conducted at this time.
