Central Illinois veteran charged with aggravated DUI

SPRINGFIELD - A U.S. Marine Corps veteran from central Illinois has been charged with aggravated driving under the influence in connection with an October crash that killed two people.

Andrea Little, 27, was indicted for aggravated DUI on Thursday.  Authorities say Little was under the influence of marijuana and alcohol at the time of the crash, which killed her passenger, 35-year-old Steven Moore, and another driver, 16-year-old Danielle Allen.  Authorities also say Little's blood-alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit.

According to Little's attorney, her military service in Afghanistan and Iraq in 2008 and 2009 caused her to suffer "some emotional setbacks."  Little's attorney adds that it's unclear if she has post-traumatic stress disorder.

Little is currently being held on $1 million bond.  If convicted, she could face six to 28 years in prison.
