Adams County coroner to re-examine 2005 death

QUINCY - The body of a Quincy woman has been exhumed by the Adams County coroner's office due to an inconclusive autopsy performed by pathologist who has come under increasing scrutiny.

According to Adams County Coroner Jim Keller, Linda Booth's body was exhumed on Thursday.  Booth was found dead in her pool in 2005 at the age of 50.

Keller says no foul play is suspected in Booth's death, but he wants to review the case as the autopsy conducted by pathologist Jessica Brown did not find a cause of death.  Keller adds that Bowman also conducted Cory Lovelace's autopsy in 2006, which also came back inconclusive.  Authorities say former Illinois prosecutor Curtis Lovelace was indicted in Cory's death in August.

Keller also says Booth's family was aware of the exhumation, and that Booth's and Lovelace's cases were the only inconclusive autopsies of Bowman's in Adams County.
