Macon County Conservation District to hold bird feeding event

DECATUR - Macon County residents will be able to learn how to care for birds that visit their backyards this winter during the Macon County Conservation District's "Into the Wild: Holiday Bird Feeding" event on December 6.

This family-friendly program will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Rock Springs Nature Center in Decatur.  Participants will be able to learn how birds survive during the cold winter months, and how to attract them to their backyards.  You will also be able to make a pine cone bird feeder to take home.

Door prizes will be awarded, and refreshments will be served.  This event will be open to residents of all ages, and will be free of charge.  In order to participate, you must pre-register online by December 5 at
