Hundreds in CU Protest Grand Jury Decision

URBANA- Roughly two hundred gathered in front of the Champaign County Courthouse on Tuesday to protest the grand jury decision in Ferguson.
But the protestors also have local demands.
Champaign Urbana Citizens for Peace and Justice organized the rally and are asking for national and local de-militarization.
They demand that the sheriff get rid of an armored truck, that money for jail construction, instead go toward programs and
they're also calling for no tasers.   They're also asking for police to stop racial profiling,  to keep families whole, and to remember Kiwane Carrington---a 15 year old boy shot and killed by a Champaign police officer in 2009.  That death was ruled an accident by a coroner's jury and the state's attorney.
The protestors say in both the cases of Michael Brown and Carrington that until there are charges, there will be no justice.
