Christian County authorities make arrest in multiple thefts

Posted:
KINCAID - Christian County authorities say they have apprehended a 15-year-old boy for allegedly stealing items from multiple vehicles during the early morning hours of November 27.

Authorities say an investigation launched by Christian County Sheriff's Deputies revealed that a suspect had attempted to enter 40 vehicles that were parked on the southeast side of Kincaid.  Deputies say between 20 and 25 vehicles were unlocked, and were entered.  Authorities say clothing items and money were taken from the unlocked cars.  Deputies tracked footprints from the vehicles to a nearby residence where the juvenile was arrested for criminal trespass to vehicles and theft.

Christian County Sheriff Bruce Kettelkamp is reminding residents to keep their vehicles and homes locked when they're unattended.  Kettelkamp also advises citizens to remove all valuables from their vehicles, or hide them in the trunk, out of view.
