BEARDSTOWN - Authorities say a seven-year-old girl has died from injuries sustained in a residential fire in Beardstown Monday morning.

Sangamon County Coroner Cinda Edwards says Chloe Whitlock, 7, was pronounced dead at St. John's Hospital Monday afternoon.  Authorities say EMS was dispatched to the home at about 7:36 a.m.

Edwards says Whitlock was initially transported to Sarah Culbertson Hospital in Rushville before being airlifted to St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

This fire is currently under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office.  Edwards says an autopsy will be conducted on Wednesday.
