3 arrested for allegedly manufacturing methamphetamine

TAYLORVILLE - Christian County authorities say three individuals have been arrested for allegedly manufacturing methamphetamine.

Authorities say on December 1, Taylorville police officers and Christian County Sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant on a home in the 700 block of West Vandeever Street in Taylorville in connection with the unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine.  Taylorville police say items meth-making items were found in the home.  

Authorities say three individuals, 41-year-old Richard Shivers, 64-year-old Linda Johnson, and 45-year-old Tina Galyean, were taken into custody.  All three face preliminary charges of aggravated unlawful participation in methamphetamine production and unlawful possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials.  

Taylorville police say the arrests come from an ongoing investigation into the unlawful production of methamphetamine.  The Illinois State Police Meth Response Team assisted in the dismantling and clean-up of the methamphetamine-related materials.
