Three Hospitalized After Fire in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD - Three people have been sent to the hospital after a major fire on the 2100 Block of 10th Street. One is in critical condition. Crews are currently trying to put out hot spots. WAND News has learned a total of 14 people were in the house at the time and 11 were able to escape unharmed. Fire crews worked quickly to bring the flames under control. 

 "The fire station is right around the corner and dropped lines on the ground immediately, " said Ken Fustin, Fire Chief. "But you could tell the front porch collapsed quickly," he said.

A number of people reportedly jumped out the windows. One house is a total loss. The fire also spread to a second home but it was quickly put out.
