Patrick Hutton to be paroled December 11

DECATUR - In an update to a story WAND has been covering since 2012, a teen who previously faced charges in a 2012 Decatur murder is set to be paroled this week.

According to the Illinois Department of Corrections' website, 19-year-old Patrick Hutton is scheduled to be paroled December 11.  Hutton was one of two teens arrested and charged in the December 2012 death of Jarvas Thomas.  The other, 18-year-old Bryson Harden, was found not guilty on all charges in June 2014 and released from jail.

Hutton is currently serving a four-year prison sentence after taking a plea deal on robbery charges.  He received credit for 20 months served in jail before trial.
