U.S. Secret Service, Illinois authorities investigate counterfeit money reports

MORRIS - Northern Illinois authorities say they've received multiple reports of counterfeit $100 bills being used at businesses in Morris, Illinois.

Authorities say banks and shops in Morris have been advised to contact police if they see any money that looks like it may be counterfeit.  The fake currency is being described as an older design of the $100 bill.

Authorities also say the U.S. Secret Service is assisting in the Morris Police Department's investigation.  According to Morris Police Chief Brent Dite, images of a suspect may have been captured by a surveillance video.
