Taylorville man arrested on child pornography charges

CHRISTIAN COUNTY - Christian County authorities say a Taylorville man has been arrested on child pornography-related charges after a local business reported inappropriate material on an employee's computer.

The Christian County Sheriff's Office says Jarod Reber, 34, was arrested at about 9:00 a.m. on December 10.  Authorities say the arrest came from an investigation conducted by the Christian County Sheriff's Office, the Taylorville Police Department, and the Illinois Attorney General's Office.

The Christian County Sheriff's Office says it was contacted by a local business after it was discovered that inappropriate material had been found on one of it's employee's computers.  Christian County authorities say upon further investigation, they found that Reber allegedly videotaped an underage female while she was undressing in a bathroom.  Authorities say a search warrant was executed as Reber's home, with other electronic devices being seized.

Christian County authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and that Reber could face further charges.  Reber is currently being held in the Christian County jail on $500,000 bond.
