U of I board of trustees member resigning from position

CHAMPAIGN - A University of Illinois board of trustees member is resigning from her position in January.

Pam Strobel says she has informed university President Bob Easter of her decision to leave her position.  Strobel also says she thinks it's "very helpful to get fresh perspectives and new thinking on the board."

Strobel is a retired business executive and attorney, and earned degrees from the University of Illinois in law and journalism.  The Winnetka native was appointed to the university's board of trustees by Governor Pat Quinn in 2009, following an admissions scandal.
