Children can celebrate the new year early at "Noon Year's Eve"

SPRINGFIELD - Springfield's Henson Robinson Zoo is helping central Illinois children celebrate the new year early at their "Noon Year's Eve" party on December 31.

The party will be held at the zoo from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., and includes games, activities, and a countdown to 12:00 p.m.  Participants will also be served a light lunch, and will be able to meet some zoo animals and create New Year's nature conservation resolutions.

The cost for attending the party is $10 per child for Springfield Park District residents and zoo members, and $12.50 per child for non-residents.  Limited space is available, and advance sign-up and payment is required.  Parents can sign their children up for this party by calling (217) 585-1821.
