Danville police investigate bank robbery

DANVILLE - Danville police say they are seeking the public's assistance in their investigation of a bank robbery that happened on December 22.

According to Danville Police Commander Jane McFadden, at about 1:20 p.m. officers responded to reports of a robbery at Landmark Credit Union, located in the 500 block of West Fairchild Street.  Upon arriving, officers say they were informed by bank personnel that a man had entered the building and demanded money.  After receiving the money, the suspect left the building, heading southbound on foot.

McFadden says the suspect is described as a black male, standing about five feet tall, and had a slender build.  The suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and had his face covered with a black scarf.  We've included a still photo of the suspect, taken from surveillance video.
