Central Illinois arts council undergoing rebranding initiative

Posted:
QUINCY - The organization currently known as the Quincy Society of Fine Arts will be renamed as part of a rebranding initiative.

Organization officials say the group's name will be changed to Arts Quincy on marketing materials.  The Arts Quincy offices will undergo changes to reflect the new logo, and the group's bimonthly magazine will now be printed in color.  According to the organization's Executive Director Lenny Bart, the changes being made reflect the group's wish of "moving forward in a new direction."

Grants from the National Endowment for the Arts are paying for the changes.  Arts Quincy was founded in 1947, and claims to be among the first art councils in the nation.
