Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum to celebrate 10th anniversary

SPRINGFIELD - The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum will hold several special activities and events in 2015 to help celebrate its 10th anniversary.

The museum's anniversary also falls during the 150th anniversaries of the Civil War's end and Lincoln's assassination.

One of the exhibits being featured by the museum, titled "Undying Words: Lincoln 1858-1865," will explore Lincoln's changing views during his presidency.  Participants will be able to listen to five of Lincoln's key speeches, and view unique artifacts.  "The Battle Hymn Story" will be featured in the spring, and will explain the origins behind "The Battle Hymn of the Republic."  A specials outdoors event will be held in Union Park Square in the summer.

In addition to the events and presentations, the museum is also expected to become digitally connected, allowing visitors to use their mobile devices to view content while touring the building.
