Peoria man charged with producing child pornography
PEORIA - Authorities say a Peoria man has been charged with producing child pornography.
Seth Morris, 24, was charged in Peoria's U.S. District Court on Monday. Authorities say the investigation began after a middle school-aged girl told police that Morris allegedly sent her a sexually explicit photo of a minor on a social networking website.
According to investigators, several sexually explicit chats between the girl and Morris were found, including a photo. During the investigation, authorities say they were able to trace the photo to Morris' phone.
When questioned by police, authorities say Morris allegedly admitted to chatting with the girl, using his phone to take sexually explicit photos of a minor, and sent those photos to the girl with the hopes of receiving similar pictures.
