ALPLM offering free admission to community groups

SPRINGFIELD - The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is offering free admission to community groups focused on improving Illinois neighborhoods on Martin Luther King Day.

The regular price of admission is $6 for children and $12 for adults.  However, community organizations may bring groups to the museum for free on January 19.  The groups must contain 15 or more people, with one chaperone for every 10 children.

In addition to offering free admission to community groups, museum officials say discounts will be given to visitors who buy gloves for the homeless.  The gloves are sold for $2.99, and can be found in the museum's gift shop through the end of January.
