Central Illinois chili cook-off to benefit local Rotary groups

DECATUR - Local Rotary groups are inviting the public to attend the Central Illinois Regional Rotary Chili Cook-Off on January 17.

The cook-off will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Hickory Point Mall, and is sponsored by the Village of Forsyth.  Professional cooks from around the nation and celebrity cooks from Macon County, including some familiar faces from WAND-TV, will be competing for bragging rights at this International Chili Society-sanctioned event.

Those who attend will be able to sample the different kinds of homemade chili being prepared.  Admission to the event is $5, with all proceeds benefiting the three local Rotary clubs, which help fund local grants and international projects, and support the Youth Leadership Program.
