Bloomington man arrested for allegedly distributing child pornography

BLOOMINGTON - Authorities say a Bloomington man has been arrested for allegedly distributing child pornography.

According to a news release from the Illinois Attorney General's office, David Mariani, 30, has been charged with 10 felony counts of distribution of child pornography.  Authorities say Mariani was arrested as part of a statewide operation on Wednesday.

Mariani appeared in court on Thursday, but has not yet entered a plea.  He is currently being held on $3 million bond.  If convicted of all 10 charges, Mariani could face up to 300 years in prison.
