Chicago police find 386 pounds of marijuana inside vehicle

CHICAGO - Chicago police say they found about 386 pounds of marijuana inside a vehicle during an attempted traffic stop on Saturday.

Authorities say police attempted to pull over an SUV just after 7:00 p.m.  Instead of stopping, police say the vehicle's driver allegedly drove off, jumped from the vehicle and ran away.  Officers say they later found the driver, identified as 37-year-old James Hargett, hiding under a porch, and arrested him.

Inside the vehicle, police say they found a massive amount of marijuana, with an estimated street value of $1 million.

Authorities say Hargett was charged with three traffic citations, driving an uninsured vehicle, and a felony charge of cannabis possession.
