Macon County Conservation District hosting skiing event

Posted:
DECATUR - The Macon County Conservation District is offering residents the chance to take part in their cross country skiing and snowshoeing "Into the Wild" event on February 7.

This event will be held at the Rock Springs Nature Center, starting at 9:00 a.m.  Participants will learn how to ski, and can take part in a guided ski trip on Rock Springs Conservation Area trails, searching for wildlife along the way.

This program is open to children and adults, all equipment will be provided, and refreshments will be served.  At least four inches of snow will be required to hold this event.  Those who wish to participate in this event must pre-register online by February 6.

For more information, or to register, visit www.maconcountyconservation.org.  This program was made possible by a grant from ADM Cares.
