Decatur man found guilty of first-degree murder

DECATUR - Authorities say a man accused in the 2008 stabbing death of a Decatur woman has been found guilty of first-degree murder.

Officials say Brandon Owens was found guilty of first-degree murder charges on Tuesday, in the death of 20-year-old Leadgrie Cunningham.  Prosecutors say Owens stabbed Cunningham to death in her Decatur home in September 2008.

Authorities say Owens is scheduled to be sentenced on April 2.
