Springfield police search for suspect in home repair fraud
SPRINGFIELD - The Springfield Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating a suspect involved in a home repair fraud scheme.
Authorities say Jeremy Sorenson, 32, is wanted for theft by deception. According to Springfield Police, Sorenson is a Springfield-based contractor who was allegedly involved in taking about $50,000 in a home repair fraud scheme from June 2014 to December 2014.
Police say Sorenson has been using an alias, Adam Jones, and is operating a fictitious business called Starlite Construction. Authorities say a second suspect, 28-year-old Angel Brinkley, has turned herself in to police and faces charges of theft by deception in relation to the home repair fraud.
