PARIS, Il. - Syngenta officials have announced that the company will close a seed-corn plant and distribution site in eastern Illinois.
According to Syngenta spokesperson Pam Molitor, the company's Paris facility will close on May 29, 2015. Molitor says the 24 full time jobs and 10 seasonal jobs will be cut when the facility closes. Local farmers who grow seed corn for the facility are also expected to be impacted.
Molitor also says that the company has no immediate plans for the property.
