St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary hosting Chocolate Extravaganza
DECATUR - St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary officials say they're hosting the group's second annual Chocolate Extravaganza on February 13.
Officials are inviting central Illinois residents to stop by and purchase homemade chocolate treats. The event will be held outside the St. Mary's Hospital cafeteria from 7:00 a.m. until all products are sold.
The extravaganza will also feature a raffle, with the grand prize being a winter get-away package that includes an overnight stay at Hawthorne Suites, dinner at the Main Hangar restaurant, chocolates, wine, movie passes, and more. Tickets are being sold for $5 each or three for $10. For just 25 cents, participants could have a chance to win a jar of candy by correctly guessing the number of candies in the jar.
All proceeds for this event will be used to purchase 10 two-way radios, which will be used by volunteers to provide better communication and lower wait times for patients.
