Man arrested after police find 350 pounds of marijuana in vehicle

HAMPSHIRE - Northern Illinois authorities say faces multiple charges after police say they allegedly found more than 350 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle.

The Kane County Sheriff's Office says Levi Blalock, 36, faces charges of unlawful possession of cannabis, unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, and cannabis trafficking.

Authorities say Kane County Sheriff's deputies spoke with Blalock while they were patrolling a Hampshire motel's parking lot.  According to authorities, Blalock told conflicting stories as to why he was in the area.

The sheriff's office says a drug-sniffing dog was brought in, and found drugs inside of Blalock's vehicle.  Authorities say 354 pounds of marijuana placed into 15 large garbage bags were found.  Police say the drugs are valued at more than $3 million.
