Bloomington woman arrested for allegedly setting fire to apartment complex

BLOOMINGTON - Authorities say a Bloomington woman has been arrested for allegedly starting a fire in an apartment complex that injured two people on Sunday.

Firefighters say they were dispatched to a report of a fire at the complex early Sunday morning.  Authorities say at least six individuals who live in the building were inside at the time of the fire, but were able to get out in time.  Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital.

Firefighters say the fire was extinguished in about 10 minutes, and that the fire was only in the living room of one of the complex's units.

Several hours later, authorities say a woman who lives at the complex was arrested on preliminary charges of aggravated arson and residential arson.  Authorities say the investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing.

We will provide updates to this story as they become available.
