Central Illinois residents invited to learn more about Illinois raptors

DECATUR - The Macon County Conservation District is inviting the public to attend a series of presentations that will allow residents to learn about Illinois' birds of prey on March 3, 17, and 31.

The events, titled the "March 2015 Raptor Focus Series," will be held from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Leighty-Tabor Science Center at Millikin University.  During the programs, participants will learn about the history of Illinois raptors, and will feature a live bird from the Illinois Raptor Center at the end of each session.

This series is open to the public, and the cost to attend is $10 per person per session.  Interested individuals must pre-register online before March 3.  For more information, or to register, visit www.maconcountyconservation.org or call (217) 423-7708.
