CHARLESTON - Eastern Illinois University's Board of Trustees has announced that it will meet on Monday to consider naming the school's new president.
EIU officials say Board of Trustees members could select a person to succeed current president William Perry, who will retire in June. Officials also say that several candidates have been interviewed for the position over the last few months.
Perry was selected as president at EIU in 2007. Prior to his selection, Perry spent most of his career at Texas A&M University.
