Director of IDOC yet to be named by Rauner

SPRINGFIELD - The search for a permanent director at the Illinois Department of Corrections is ongoing, as Governor Bruce Rauner has withdrawn his temporary appointment of S.A. Godinez to the position.

Godinez was appointed to the position in May 2011 by former Governor Pat Quinn.  Godinez announced his retirement in December, but had stayed at the position during the temporary appointment.

Rauner's office announced that Bryan Glecker will succeed Godinez as acting director until March 17.  However, no permanent replacement has been announced.
