3 individuals face multiple meth-related charges

DECATUR - Decatur police say an investigation into reported methamphetamine manufacturing has resulted in three arrests on March 5.

Authorities say Decatur Police Department Street Crimes Officers executed a search warrant on a home in the 1200 block of East Prairie Avenue Thursday morning.  During the search, police officers say they allegedly found items and ingredients that can be used to manufacture methamphetamine, as well as substances that field-tested positive as methamphetamine.

Decatur police say three individuals, Chris Vandevanter, 44, Clifford Howard, 45, and Eula Mikola, 44, were inside the home at the time the search warrant was executed and were subsequently taken into custody.

Vandevanter, Howard, and Mikola each face preliminary charges of aggravated participation in methamphetamine manufacturing, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.  All three are currently being held in the Macon County Jail.  Howard's and Mikola's bonds are set at $75,000, while Vandevanter's bond is set at $150,000.
