MCCD inviting residents to participate in wildflower hike

DECATUR - The Macon County Conservation District is inviting residents to discover native wildflowers through photography during a special hiking event on March 21.

The event, titled "What's Up Wildflower Hike," will be held on March 21 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rock Springs Conservation Area.  Local photographer and Macon County Conservation District volunteer Jerry Sievers will lead the hike, and will share his knowledge of photographing techniques and native plant species.

This hike is free and open to the public, and no pre-registration is required.  For more information, visit www.maconcountyconservation.com.
