DECATUR - The Richland Community College's Department of Communications, Education, Humanities, and Fine Arts will host a special poetry reading event on March 31.

The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the college, and will feature poetry reading by author David Wright.  Wright wrote the book "The Small Books of Bach," which contains more than three dozen poems based on Johann Sabastian Bach's life and music.

Wright is also a former English professor at Richland Community College.  He is currently an assistant professor of English at Monmouth College.  Wright is also a winner of an Illinois Arts Council Poetry Fellowship, and has seen his work featured in several publications, such as Image, Ecotone, and Quiddity.
