DECATUR - The Macon County Conservation District is inviting central Illinois residents to take part in two special events being held on March 28 and 29.

The first event will feature native spring wildflowers in bloom during a hike at Sand Creek Conservation Area on March 28.  The second event, to be held at the Rock Springs Nature Center on March 29, will share information on mountain lions, and will feature a discussion about how human activity in central Illinois impacted this species.

The hike will take place from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., and the discussion on mountain lions will be held at 1:30 p.m.  Both events are free and open to the public, but interested residents must pre-register online for these events by March 27.
