Springfield police investigate home invasion

SPRINGFIELD - The Springfield Police Department is seeking the public's help in their investigation into a home invasion that occurred on March 8.

Authorities say at about 11:00 p.m., two unknown males kicked in the back door of a home on the 1700 block of East Ash in Springfield.  The men encountered a resident of the home, an 89-year-old woman, pushed her down, and searched her while demanding money.

Springfield police say the suspects were described as black males in their 30s, and were wearing denim jeans, dark-colored hooded sweatshirts, and stocking caps.
