Groups Call for Peace Among Capital City Gun Violence
Springfield - Sunday's reports of shots fired are the latest acts of gun-related violence in the capital city.
The reported incident happened at the Zion Baptist Church in the afternoon hours of March 22. Nobody was hurt in that shooting. Police have said they're still looking for evidence, and if anybody has information they're obviously encouraged to call the police.
People said that this could have been much worse because if this had happened on a Monday or Tuesday, it could put a lot of kids at risk, as this incident happened across the street from a grade school.
Groups such as the Springfield Urban League are asking people to think before they act.
There's been a lot of violence in the capital city in recent weeks involving guns, so they're really encouraging people to think about what they do before they do it.
