Cluver Leaving Maroa-Forsyth Boys Basketball Program
MAROA -- The search is underway for a new coach at Maroa-Forsyth High School, as boys basketball coach Chad Cluver turned in his resignation.
School officials said they received the resignation letter Thursday. This comes after the Trojans finished the worst season, record-wise, in his tenure, going 4-23.
However, his most memorable moments came during state runs in both 2006 and 2007. Following a 3rd place finish in 2006, the Trojans returned to win the championship in 2007, with a 33-1 overall record.
Cluver spent a total of 16 years with the team, and was Macon County's 2nd-longest tenured coach behind Warrensburg-Latham's Vic Binkley, who just finished his 29th season with the Cardinals.
