$1000 reward for information leading to conviction in Red Tail Golf Course vandalism

DECATUR- Park Rangers are searching for those who vandalized the Red Tail Golf course.

$8,000 in total damage was reported at two greens at Red Tail Golf course causing concern for Decatur Park District officials.

On Tuesday, Park Rangers through Decatur's Park Watch Program went door to door in nearby neighborhoods to seek more information about the crime.

"We spend about 30 to 40,000 dollars a year in vandalism and we're very serious about stopping this," said Park Board Commissioner Bob Brilley.

The park watch program has had a 50% success rate.

If anyone has any information on the recent vandalism at Red Tail, they are encouraged to call park officials at 422-5911. There is a $1,000 reward for any convictions.
