Dutch Valley Meats products being recalled over unlisted allergens

SPRINGFIELD - The Illinois Department of Agriculture officials say nearly 2,400 pounds of ham loaves produced by Dutch Valley Meats is being recalled due to undeclared allergens.

According to the IDOA's Bureau of Meat and Poultry, the 2-pound oven-ready ham loaves did not indicate that the product contained wheat on the label.  State inspectors say they found the potential hazard during an inspection.

Officials say the loaves were made between April 1, 2013, and February 9, 2015, and were distributed to stores in Champaign and Douglas Counties.  Officials also say there have been no reports of illness related to the loaves.
