SPRINGFIELD - Sangamon County authorities say they are investigating two separate shooting incidents that happened on April 19.

Authorities say Grandview police officers and Sangamon County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of shots fired in the 2500 block of Keys Avenue at about 4:46 p.m.  Upon arriving, officers say they found a vehicle that had sustained damage from multiple gunshots, and occupants who were inside of the car at the time of the shooting.  Officers say one of the occupants received non-life-threatening injuries to the elbow and lower right side during this incident, while the other occupant was not injured.

In the second incident, Sangamon County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of shots fired in the 600 block of South Wesley at about 7:16 p.m.  Authorities say in this incident, a suspect or suspects drove by the residence and fired a single bullet.  The bullet went through a window, but did non hit any of the occupants inside.

Authorities say both incidents are under investigation to determine if they are related, and to determine if they are related to recent shootings that the Springfield Police Department is investigating.  If you have any information on these incidents, you are asked to call the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office at (217) 753-6840 or Crime Stoppers at (217) 788-8427.
