Southern Illinois man faces first-degree murder charges

HARRISBURG - Authorities say a southern Illinois man faces multiple charges in connection with the April 2015 death of his pregnant girlfriend.

Saline County prosecutors say Rodney Black, 56, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of intentional homicide of an unborn child in connection with the April 17 death of Latisha Reidelberger, 28.  Police say Black was arrested on the same day.

According to authorities, Black allegedly stabbed Reidelberger with a knife several times.  Reidelberger was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Black is currently being held in Saline County Jail.
