Words to avoid when using online dating sites

DECATUR - Your success on online dating websites could come down to what words you choose to describe yourself.

According to Portland, Oregon, Relationship Expert and CEO of Lasting Connections Sameera Sullivan, "Some words that can really turn someone off are saying I'm looking for a really serious relationship. You can just say I'm looking for a stable relationship."  Sullivan also recommends to use proper grammar in your profile, and to sum yourself up in a paragraph or less.

Other words, like marriage or kids, or slang terms like "swag," could also drive away traffic.

In addition, a study released by mashable.com and match.com revealed a list of weird words used most in each state in online dating profiles.  Many of the words, like Oregon's top word "kayaking," are region specific.
